Great food and service. Our waitress gave some great menu recommendations and the food was delicious. Fun location, too!
Superb meal, service, atmosphere!
We had dinner at Thai Life Floating Restaurant in August 2014 during a weekend trip to Key West. The meal was absolutely phenomenal-- true Thai flavor, prepared expertly by Chef! We were traveling with our 9 month old daughter, whom our amazing server took a real liking to-- so much so, that she even offered to walk her around the restaurant for us so we could finish our meal while it was still warm! :) Our baby girl even had the pleasure of going back to the kitchen to meet Chef in person! We were even lucky enough to have a manatee make several appearances in the marina right next to our table! A memorable meal and a highly recommended restaurant!
Outstanding Thai! Only Thai place in Key West worth it
Wow! Floating Thai restaurant on the water. Romantic Thai decor, the owners are cute as can be, they and the wait staff recognize us every time we come in and know our favorite dishes even if it's been a few weeks! The Thai is authentic as the owners wife is from Thailand. Prices are phenomenal specialist the lunch for locals deal..but they always give us military/local discount. My favorite are the curries, especially the red curry duck special, husband's favorite is the pad Thai shrimp, we pretty much get those a lot. The curry infused rice is great also. Tonight we had the Tom Kha soup for appetizer it was top of the line and we eat at Thai all over the country and overseas a few times.
Floating Thai Restaurant
My husband and I love this restaurant. The food is authentic Thai, the view is gorgeous, right on the water at Garrison Bight. Love the Thai tea and the lemon grass soup, curry shrimp. Best Thai I have ever had.
Excellent Thai Food , NOT just a tourist trap.
Have brought my family there twice on vacation this month. Both times, the food was very good. Wait staff was very polite and helpful. The food is traditional Thai, and therefore, spicier than most American food, so order it mild for the kids, or if you don't like much spice. Didn't see a kids menu, our kids were happy to share an adult meal. Medium is pretty spicy, but very tasty. Everything my large family had was very good. We particularly recommend the soft shell crab it was outstanding. The tarpon were "rolling" in the harbor as we ate, view was wonderful, and the breeze flowing through the floating restaurant was very pleasant. A great experience, great memories!
My boyfriend and I ate here a while back and I forgot to do the review. Our server was the sweetest & most attentive I have ever had. She laughed and joked with us and just lit up the place with her smile. It did take a while to get our food, but good food takes time if prepared right. Our server kept checking on us to see if we needed anything and kept us updated on dinner. I had never eaten Thai food before, so I have nothing to compare it to, I just know that I loved my meal and so did my boyfriend. I can't wait to go again.
As GOOD as in Phuket!
My parents, wife, & I had lunch at Thai Life Floating Restaurant on our last full day in Key West, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience...from the warm and friendly service provided to us by Car, to the tasty, fabulous, and AUTHENTIC (my wife & I have been to Thailand more than thirty times since first visiting Bangkok and Koh Samui in 1991, and we really feel that we know good Thai food when we see and taste it) Thai meals the four of us enjoyed. Thai Life isn't "fancy", and is outside Old Town Key West, but is well worth a visit for lunch or dinner.
Great food, beautiful view!
I ate here three times in the three weeks that i spent in Key West. The food is absolutely amazing, the wait staff are very friendly and helpful, and the dining experience was just beautiful. The restaurant is floating in the water, and I have never eaten at a place like that. I will definitely go back every time I visit Key West!
Excellent and authentic
This was a most memorable dining experience. Being from Thailand, I am always thrilled when I find a restaurant which serves authentic Thai cuisine. This is one of those places. The steamed fish with lemon chili and garlic sauce is absolutely excellent. The atmosphere wonderful. The service delightful. Can't wait to go back!
Worth the trip!
What a great place! The food was wonderful, spiced as requested, and super-tasty! Lovely atmosphere, floating on the water... Car took great care of us, she was a sweetheart! Don't miss this spot!
Authentic Thai food. I went there with my family and was greeted by a wonderful lady who helped us with the menu. The service was awesome and the ambiance added more to it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for an authentic Thai restaurant in Key West.
Go here . One of the best meals we've had in key west! Looks can be deceiving but once inside the boat it is so charming. Our meals were absolutely delicious and our waitress was friendly and adorable. We already decided we are going back to eat there at least one more time before we leave key west. Two thumbs up!!!
My husband and I shared a Tom yum for an appetizer (the best I've had), then he had the pad thai (thai hot!) And I had the panang curry (so yummy!). Then we shared mango sticky rice for dessert! Our waitress was adorable and very attentive! She made it easy for us to share. The atmosphere is cool! Made it feel very authentic! Very happy we chose this place!
First time visit. Food presentation, portioning and quality were excellent. Service by Mo was very good - a friendly attitude and food knowledge excellent. Nice interior atmosphere directly on the Bight.
Thai Life had great, authentic Thai food! It was perfectly seasoned, and the spiciness was just right! The atmosphere was calming and relaxing, and a really nice diversion from the super crowded other parts of Key West. And after driving around in the Duval street area, it was a JOY to have a place with plenty of free parking! Prices were very reasonable, and my server Pla was extremely friendly and helpful! I'll definitely come back next time I'm in the Keys!
Not just peanuts and noodles
We spent a wonderful evening dining at Thai Life Floating Restaurant in Key West. I did not care for Thai food as I'm not nuts for peanuts. Last night I discovered that there is more to Thai food than I thought. We started with Pla Kung, a salad of shrimp and lemongrass with mint, cilantro, and mushrooms. Given the option of mild, medium or hot, we chose medium. The salad was excellent. Spicy but delicious, the shrimp cooked to perfection. Next was Plah, fish, with lemon chili and garlic sauce. a taste worthy of the gods. The menu has a whole array of Thai specialities and we can't wait to return and eat our way through it. Who knows, I might even choose the Chicken Satay with peanut sauce. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was romantic, sitting in a floating restuarant in a harbour filled with beautiful fishing boats. We consider the restaurant a must when visiting Key West.
Great place to eat. Wonderful change from all the local dining. Our server, Car, was wonderful. Ordered medium hot and it was perfect. DINE HERE!
Wonderful restaurant, on a barge. Charming, especially at sunset, The food is authentic , well priced and excellent. The service is friendly and outstanding. One of our favorites in Key West
